Update for February

It's been an overall good month. I was (and still am) drowning in extracurriculars, homework, and other stuff, but I'm used to it. I'm pretty satisfied with the work I've done and what I've completed this month and I'm looking forward to March. I got second place in my category at the regional's science fair, and our Mathcounts team took first place at district (regionals), so we're preparing for state, which is at the University of Denver (small, small place) on March 12th.

Facebook and Twitter:
bye, bye february :) i'll miss u! but helloooo march ;) i've been waiting for u! march, april, may last days of middle school:'(

I'm looking forward to the triple sleepover, Denver, and Mathcounts State Comptition with Tiana M, one of my best friends. It's going to be stoking E-P-I-C!!! We're planning on hitting a couple malls while we're there.

March 10th is the big day, the day Tiana and I are calling "Judgement Day," hahaha! We get to know if we got accepted/waitlisted/rejected to the boarding schools we applied to, and we're so nervous! Well, Tiana's spazzing out more than I am, I'm actually being kind of chill with this, mostly because I know I won't get in. But I need to be optimistic! I think I can, I think I can, I know I can. That reminds me slightly of the Little Engine That Could! I had the last of the interviews for Groton School earlier on Thursday, the 24th.

A couple must-read books from my reading in February: Sovay, by Celia Rees, which I'm reading right now in my e-time class! Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom is amazing and there's always something to be learned from it no matter how many tiems you read it!

Oscars were awesome last night, Inception and The King's Speech tied for most Oscars last night at four each, The Social Network with three. I loved Anne Hathaway's red dress, along with Hailee Steinfeld's, too! I also like Natalie Portman's, it suited her nicely.

Well, that's a wrap, folks! I should probably get back to homework and studying for that math test I missed last Thursday!
